Vorbrand à la Suisse - Déliantage façon Suisse - Firing schedule "Swiss-style"

Ich versuche ja meine Metalclaybrände möglichst zu vereinheitlichen, damit ich allenfalls Stücke aus Clays verschiedener Hersteller zusammen brennen kann, um nicht jedesmal einen separaten Brand machen zu müssen.
einerseits habe ich das schon damit erreicht, das ich Jéremy's von Météor Clay Vorbrand-Methode im Backofen bei 280°C anwende (siehe hier). meinen Backofen kann ich aber schlecht an einen auswärtigen Kurs mitnehmen, also überlegte ich, wie ich es an besten und kostengünstigsten machen könnte. beim herum bummeln in der Haushaltgeräteabteilung stürchelte ich über einen kleinen Raclette-Ofen... nun, das ist doch fast dasselbe wie die Grillfunktion im grossen Ofen, also könnte das mit dem Vorbrand doch funktionieren. Gesagt getan, ich probierte aus! und so sah das dann aus:

j'essaye de standardiser mes cuissons de pâtes de métal pour pouvoir cuire des pieces de differents producteurs de pâtes ensemble, sans être obligée de faire des cuissons séparée pour chaque.
j'y suis déjà parvenue en déliantant avec mon four domestic, comme le propose Jérémy de Météor Clay (voir ici). mais je ne peux pas prendre mon four domestic avec moi, si je donne des cours à l'exterieur, donc j'ai cherché une solution pratique et économique. en flânant au rayon electroménager je suis tombée sur un petit four à raclette... je me suis donc dit que la résistance de ce petit four n'était as si differente de celle du four domestic et j'ai tenté le coup:

i try to standardize my firing schedules to be able to fire different Clay brands together. so I don't have to make different firings for each type of clay.
I usually use the pre-firing schedule that suggest Jérémy from Météor Clay (read here). i can't take my kitchen oven to classes on site, so i searched for an economical and practicable way. strolling throug the electro division in the mall i fell over a small  "raclette-oven". I thougt that there isn't a big differenc between the grill function of my kitchen oven and that little Raclette-oven. so I tried it:

Erster Markt - Premier marché - First market

Am 06.12.2012 war Chlausmarkt am Strickhof in Lindau. Als ehemalige Schülerin wollte ich gerne dort dabei sein und kriegte tatsächlich einen Marktstand. :-)
Obwohl es schneite und recht kalt war, haben wir den Abend ohne allzu grosses Frieren gut überstanden. es war wirklich ganz toll und es hat uns sehr gefallen. wir haben sogar einige Kleinigkeiten verkauft, was uns natürlich sehr stolz macht. ;-)

Le 06.12.2012 le marché de St. Nicolas du Strickhof a Lindau a eu lieu. Comme ancienne élève de cette école je souhaitais y participer et par chance nous avons eu droit a une place. :-)
Bien qu'il neigeait et qu'il fesait assez froid nous avons passé une chouette soirée. cela nous a beaucoup plu et nous avons même vendu quelques petites choses, nous en sommes tout fièr. ;-)

there was a santa Claus-Market at the Strickhof in Lindau on the 12/06/2012. As a ancient student of this school I wished to participate to that market and luckily got a place. :-)
although it was snowing and quite cold we had a wonderful time and a lot of fun. we even sold some little pieces an feel quite proud about it. ;-)

Goldie Bronze

Dank des hohen Silberpreises werden immer mehr qualitativ hoch stehende Basismetall-Clays entwickelt. Eine davon ist die polnische Goldie Bronze Clay von Waldo Iłowiecki. Dieser Clay zeichnet sich durch hervorragende Verarbeitungseigenschaften und v. a. durch eine geringe Schrumpfung (etwa Gleich wie Art Clay Silver) aus, was ihn für die Herstellung von Ringen perfekt macht.
Nach einigen Verhandlungen werden wir ganz bald in unserem Shop Goldie Bronze anbieten können. Wir freuen uns riesig dieses tolle Material exklusiv in der Schweiz anbieten zu können.

Du au prix trés elevé de l'argent il y à toujours plus de pâtes de métal de base de trés bonne qualité qui sont developées sur le marché. une de ces pâtes est la Goldie Bronze Clay polonaise de  Waldo Iłowiecki. cette pâte est trés facile a travailler et a une réduction similaire à la Art Clay Silver, ce qui la rends parfait pour faire des bagues.
Aprés quelques négociations nous pourrons bientôt offrir la Goldie Bronze dans notre boutique en ligne. nous sommes trés heureux de pouvoir offrir en exclusivité pour la Suisse cette pâte de bronze.

Due to the high price for Silver there are more and more good quality base metal clays being developped. one of these Clays ist Goldie Bronze from Waldo Iłowiecki. this clay is very easy to work and has a very low shrinking rate, what makes it perfect for making rings.

ich möchte eigentlich schon lang Schmuck aus Flusskiesel machen. leider getraue ich mich nicht ans Bohren der Steine, auch hab' ich nicht die nötige Ausrüstung, um die Steine zu bearbeiten und polieren...
nun haben wir eine Alternative gefunden und Mann macht aus Glas Steinimitationen. :-) mir gefallen sie super...

il y a déjà longstemps que j'aimerais travailler les caillous trouvés dans les fleuves, mais il me manque l'outillage pour les travailler et donc je n'ai jamais osé... comme alternative mon homme fait des imitations de caillous en verre. :-) j'aime beaucoup l'aspect...

for a long time i would have liked to make jewellery with pebbles I found in rivers. since I don't have the tools needed to work on natural stones I never dared to do so...
now DH has worked some stone imitations made of glass. :-) i really love them...

Steine fassen - Sertissage - Stone setting

Am vergangenen Wochenende habe ich einen Steinfassungskurs mit Metalclay besucht. Es war super, zu lernen, wie man auf originelle Weise etwas ausgefallene Steine fassen und zu Geltung bringen kann. Es war viel Arbeit, aber das Resultat kann sich sehen lassen:

Le weekend passé j'ai fait un cours pour sertir des pierres en pâte de métal. cela a été trés intéressant d'apprendre des méthodes differentes comment sertir des pierres ayant des formes pas tout à fait commun. ça a donné bien du boulot, mais le résultat est de consequence:

last weekend I took a class on how to set stones in metalclay. it was very interesting to learn the different ways to set stones with uncomon shapes. it was a lot of work, but i like the result very much:

3. Preis / 3ième Prix / 3rd price

am Artclay Festival erreichten wir mit unserer Kreation "Nature's Treasure" den dritten Platz am Wettbewerb. das Zertifikat lautet zwar auf meinen Namen, ich möchte aber betonen, dass es ein gemeinsames Werk ist, von der Idee bis zur Entwicklung und Entstehung war Mann immer mitbeteiligt. Ihm gebührt genauso die Ehre! ;-)

Au Festival Artclay 2012 nous avons obtenu le troisième Prix au Concours avec notre création "Nature's Treasure". Bien que le certificat soit à mon nom, mon homme est tout autant impliqué. il m'a aidé depuis le dévelopement de l'idée jusqu'à la réalisation du projet. c'est donc tout aussi son mérite! ;-)

At the Artclay Festival 2012 we got the third price at the Award with our creation "Nature's Treasure". however the certificate is named on me, my Sweety has been involved in the project from the beginning throughout to the realisation of the project. he merits the price as well as I do! ;-)
